The short version
Capo Chart has no accounts and no database. The chart, calculator and song helper run entirely in your browser, and the chords you type are never sent to us. Like most free sites, we use Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show ads, and both use cookies.
What is stored on your device
- Your light or dark theme choice, saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Cookies set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense, described below.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, for example how many people visit and which country they visit from. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. We do not use it to identify you. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and can change that choice at any time from the privacy link in the consent message.
Children
Capo Chart is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
